Self-Esteem & Self-Love

Learning to have self-love is the most important relationship experience you can ever have because all other experiences are filtered through this core foundational belief you have which comes down to:

Who am I and What Am I Worth!

When we base our self-worth on more intangible things, such as our looks or beauty, our possessions, our roles in life and most importantly what others think about ourselves, it causes psychological distress. Learning who you are is an individual journey that is based on many factors including your ability to learn, grow and understand new information, your socialized past, your religious or spiritual beliefs. If does not matter much what any of these beliefs are as long as they support your good mental health. When they don’t it’s a good idea to see a therapist and make your beliefs in congruent with your happiness.

Once you do this you change your habituated thought patterns that reinforced your beliefs in the past. Even though you no longer believe them, your brain is conditioned to think in the way that did not support you.
